The Chas and JI cd "Before We Grow Too Old"
has been released and can be purchased at most
outlets including Amazon.com.
Chas Hodges, the “Chas” of the British rock duo
Chas & Dave, and Jerry “J.I.” Allison, drummer
for The Crickets, recorded tracks for the album at
Merlot Sound. Jack Clement came in to play dobro
with Ronn recording and engineering the sessions.
Small article is in the February Mix Magazine and
on MixOnline.com. Final mixing and mastering was
done in London.
The cd is on Sanctuary Records.

Buddy Flett, Kenny Wayne Shepherd

Louisiana bluesman Buddy Flett is riding high on
his latest cd "Mississippi Sea" featuring
Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
The album was recorded at SandBox Studios in
Shreveport, Louisiana and was mastered for cd release
by Ronn at Merlot Sound Studio.
Buddy appeared with Shepherd recently on
"The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and will tour with
Shepherd this summer. Shepherd's new album
"Ten Days Out" is currently the #1 blues album in
the nation according to BillBoard and features
Buddy Flett, BB King, Hubert Sumlin, and others.

Merlot Sound Studio Busy

Many musicians and artists have been recording
or stopping by for a visit and a glass of Merlot wine
lately in promotion of the new studio tracking rooms.
Some of the people who have showed up have been
singer Mark Collie, Bucky Wilkin of Ronny And The
Daytonas, upcoming country artist Casey Clark,
producer Scott Miller, singer Johnny Petty, session
players Darren Osborn, Brian Bascoe, Valerie
Greenhaw, Holly Odell, Steve Fossie and many others.
Needless to say some pickin' and partying did occur!

The hardback, limited edition (250 copies) of the last
edition of Remembering Buddy, the definitive
Buddy Holly biography (as published in paperback
1996 by Omnibus Press). Each copy, written by
John Beecher and John Goldrosen, is numbered and
autographed by the authors and The Crickets and is
bound in Rose Taupe cloth
(the colour of Buddy's Cadillac).
The package also contains a limited edition 8x10
photo, hand printed and signed by the
photographer Bill Francis, and an interview CD
(RECD 503), all housed in a black slipcase.

All those who reserved copies have now been given the
opportunity to purchase their numbered copy, the
remaining numbered copies (100-249) will be sold on a
first come, first served basis at £50 ( $90.47 US) each.
